THE founder of AIOTA PHOTOGRAPHY
HI, I’M PAMELA
Fine Art boudoir, maternity and couples photographer in Vancouver, B.c.
The visual story of you deserves to be told.
Even if you are its only witness. Even if only seen by few others. You matter in the ordinary miracle of existing.
It’s no surprise that I live by the following quote: "The cure for anything is saltwater; sweat, tears, or the sea."
I’m an artist, mother, dreamer, friend, and a deeply curious soul who shares the desire for you to tell your story. Your story is worth being told.
I thrive on endless podcasts, deep conversations, and a need for understanding how the world works. I’ve spent my life following a restless urge to create. Long before I committed to portraiture, I moved through every creative medium I could: writing, music, painting, drawing, graphic design, screen printing, sewing, fashion & pattern-drafting, ceramics, cooking, baking, and the precise, technical world of audio engineering.
Every single one of those disciplines shaped how I see. When I am behind the camera in my heritage studio, I am bringing a lifetime of artistic exploration and technical cross-training to the table.
For a decade, I have run an exclusive, low-volume boudoir practice in Vancouver. I treat portraiture as a fine art, rejecting the high-pressure, over-processed, cliché aesthetics that dominate the industry.
My space is safe for everyone; a quiet sanctuary designed for you to put down your defences and bear witness to yourself with kindness. You do not need to know how to pose, and you do not need to be "perfect." Your energy is the art.
My approach is anchored in a technical mastery of light, shadow, and composition. I create images that feel visceral, personal, and timeless.
Stepping into your vulnerability takes courage, but you won’t be doing it alone. From our very first conversation to the moment you hold your finished works, you are in safe, patient, and capable hands.
More about Pamela
When I'm not busy working, you can find me taking my toddler on adventures, listening to my favourite NPR podcasts, and cooking, baking, dehydrating and fermenting foods. Or, like a good Pacific Northwesterner, setting up camp for a few days somewhere with an epic menu and no cell service.

Did you say food?
I’m also a massive culinary nerd with a deep fascination for fermentation, preservation, and artisan food. My family owns olive oil groves in Greece. I have a weird obsession with milling my own flour.
-
Laugh a little, okay?
I love finding the comedy in the mundane. I try not to take myself too seriously, and I appreciate when things are a little bit messy, a little bit funny, and entirely authentic.

I'm a child of immigrant parents
I’m able to respect and understand other perspectives, while still holding my own. I’d like to think I’m open-minded, which is also a defining feature of who I am!
