2) ABOUT PAMELA
==================================================
Eyebrow: Meet Pamela, Founder of Aiota Photography
I’m an artist, mother, dreamer, friend, and a deeply curious soul who shares the desire for you to tell your story. Your story is worth being told.
I thrive on endless podcasts, deep conversations, and a need for understanding how the world works. I’ve spent my life following a restless urge to create. Long before I committed to portraiture, I moved through every creative medium I could: writing, music, painting, drawing, graphic design, screen printing, sewing, fashion & pattern-drafting, ceramics, cooking, baking, and the precise, technical world of audio engineering.
Every single one of those disciplines shaped how I see. When I am behind the camera in my heritage studio, I am bringing a lifetime of artistic exploration and technical cross-training to the table.
For a decade, I have run an exclusive, low-volume boudoir practice in Vancouver. I treat portraiture as a fine art, rejecting the high-pressure, over-processed, cliché aesthetics that dominate the industry.
My space is safe for everyone; a quiet sanctuary designed for you to put down your defences and bear witness to yourself with kindness. You do not need to know how to pose, and you do not need to be "perfect." Your energy is the art.
My approach is anchored in a technical mastery of light, shadow, and composition. I create images that feel visceral, personal, and timeless.
Stepping into your vulnerability takes courage, but you won’t be doing it alone. From our very first conversation to the moment you hold your finished works, you are in safe, patient, and capable hands.

2a) How I Choose to Run My Studio
==================================================
Eyebrow: Some Foundational Business practices,
Over nearly a decade of doing this work, I have gained an infinite amount of wisdom from my clients, and the truth is, I see some of myself in all of you. Because of that, I run my business with a deep respect for your time, your money, and your privacy.
Time and Space: I don't do back-to-back bookings. Your session is paced slowly, letting the nerves untangle naturally.
Absolute Privacy: Your images belong to you. I never incentivize my clients to share their photos online for studio marketing.
No Pressure: There are no high-pressure emotional sales pitches immediately after your shoot.
==================================================
3) "WORRIED? LET'S NAME IT." (objections)
==================================================
Heading: Worried? Let's name it.
Card 1 — quote: "I've never felt comfortable on camera."
Card 1 — answer: Almost everyone who walks through my door says this. Good news: you don't need to know how to pose, look cool, or act like a model. Because I’ve spent my life studying composition, I know exactly how to direct you. I will guide you through every single movement, down to your fingertips. So you’re never left flailing or wondering “What do I do with my …??”
Card 2 — quote: “I don't have the 'right' body for a boudoir session.”
Card 2 — answer: Beauty standards are tools of the patriarchy designed to keep us feeling small, quiet, and hyper-critical of ourselves. The whole story of who you are deserves to be documented in this moment, as is, right now. You don't need to be anyone other than you because that’s not why we’re here. I use your movement, professional tools, expert lighting, and understanding of composition and angles to tell your story - not someone else’s.
Card 3 — quote: “Who else is going to see these?”
Card 3 — answer: Absolutely no one unless you want them to. Your privacy is a non-negotiable part of my business. Nothing ever goes online, on social media, or in my portfolio without your explicit permission. Honestly, some of the absolute best, most beautiful work I’ve ever shot remains a total secret between me and the client. I like it that way, and your trust means everything.
==================================================
4) WHY WORK WITH ME
==================================================
Heading: Why work with me
Card 1 — title: An Act of Self-Reverence
Card 1 — body: I read every single inquiry personally, with genuine curiosity. You are not a number on a spreadsheet; you are a collaborator. My goal isn't just to take flattering photos, but to facilitate a space for growth, healing, and self-expression.
Card 2 — title: Your Safety Comes First
Card 2 — body: Stripping down in front of a camera is a radical act of vulnerability, and it can feel incredibly intimidating. I don’t expect you to just walk in and magically feel relaxed. That’s why my studio is a low-volume. We don't rush. Building a space where you actually feel safe enough to let your guard down is a policy, and the entire foundation of how we work together.
Card 3 — title: Gentle, Exacting Direction
Card 3 — body: If you are worried about how to move, what you’ll look like, or how to pose, please let that go. I have guided hundreds of humans through this process. From the tilt of your chin down to your fingertips, I provide direction. You do not need to know what you’re doing; you just need to show up and trust the artistic process.

5) WHAT CLIENTS SAY (testimonials)
==================================================
Heading: What clients say after.
Testimonial 1 (bold part): “I've done other shoots and they felt cookie-cutter and uninspired."
Testimonial 1 (rest): "It was an incredible experience, start to finish, and is exactly what you want from a Boudoir shoot. This experience made me feel special, strong, and empowered."
Testimonial 2 (bold part): “I never really felt like I was 'good looking' enough or had the perfect body to do a boudoir shoot.”
Testimonial 2 (rest): “I'm so glad I did it because those photos are beautiful and it turns out that I CAN take photos like that. I really don't like pictures of myself, I'm always uncomfortable and trying to hide from the camera.”
Testimonial 3 (bold part): “The feeling of acceptance and no judgement just radiates off of you.”
Testimonial 3 (rest): “I truthfully thought I would be more shy with my body and a little bit insecure, but none of those feelings surfaced the entire time I was in the studio. Aside from your phenomenal photography skills, I appreciated chatting with you on a personal level, and I wanted to say that you are a fantastic human being."
Testimonial 4 (bold part): "I feel like I see myself in a different light after this whole experience."
Testimonial 4 (rest): "I can't express how much your words meant to me at the final viewing and how you saw a beauty in me that I didn't even know how to look for in myself.”

9) FAQ
==================================================
Heading: Questions, answered.
Q1: How much does a session actually cost?
A1: Normally, your booking fee is $300. Your gift certificate gives you a generous $200 off that fee. The total cost depends on the Photo Collection you choose to purchase at your viewing and ordering session afterward, usually held a week or so later (after I have time to do my magic and finish creating your art). Photo Collections start at $1100. I'll be honest with you about the typical investment and what comes in each collection during our 20-min chat. No pressure. The additional $300 credit applies to Wall Art, when you purchase your Photo Collection.
Q2: How long is a session?
A2: About 5-6 hours, start to finish. We begin with professional hair and makeup, then move into styling, using the client closet, plus what you’ve brought, and pick your 5 favourite outfits. Then, we shoot for about 3 hours. Plan your day around it - it's the kind of day you'll want to be present for.
Q3: What do I wear?
A3: Whatever you love. The studio closet has a curated collection of lingerie, shoes, bodysuits, button-down shirts, etc. Pretty much anything you might want for a shoot (over 10 years of collecting!). We'll do the styling together at the start of your session, but if you have favourites from home, bring them too. I have a journal post on this at aiota.ca/boudoir-journal.
Q4: What does "private viewing" mean? Do my photos go anywhere?
A4: About 1-2 weeks after the shoot, we meet again, just you and me, for about 90 minutes. We look through the very best photos from your shoot together. They are edited so you can actually see what they will look like, completed. You only pick the ones you love. I will help you, without pressure, pick a collection that’s right fore you. Nothing goes public without your explicit okay.
Q5: Do you shoot couples, postpartum, plus-size, non-binary?
A5: Yes - all of it. Boudoir, couples, intimate maternity, postpartum, non-binary, bridal, anniversaries, birthdays, post-divorce, post-anything. Consider this a Visual Legacy Project.
