I have been meaning to blog this engagement session for some time now. As my couples know, I like to go on a little adventure for engagement photos - often venturing out to a sweet spot I've scouted weeks beforehand.

I wanted to post a little bit about Simone & David, who stole my heart. These two are just the kindest, most gracious people. Getting to photograph their wedding was a little look into their world, which I hope that I get to see more of as they build a life together and grow their union...

I hear photographers say it a lot so I don't want to overdo it, but Lisa and Andrew are the sweetest couple. They have gentle souls, both of them, a loving sense of humour, and a tenderness with each other. Andrew is a gentleman, they have the kind of love where he would lay his coat over a puddle for her to cross.

As I've mentioned before, I notice that every couple has a unique bond with one another, and together they create an intimacy that is never duplicated. How two people interact and create balance with one another is really special to watch and even more special to photograph....

I love adventurous engagement photography sessions, and clients who trust me enough to let me take them to these locations. Melodi & Jordan live in Toronto, but have lived in BC also and have lots of friends and family here. They wanted their engagement photography session to be special, and wanted something nature-inspired vs the city dwelling of the GTA...

As you may have seen in my rambling blog posts, I went to Greece this summer to hang with the fam jam. It had been over 11 years since I'd been back to The Motherland. The trip was for play, rather than work, but when I fount out Kat & Priya,

Ali texted me before this engagement session and said, "Hey Pam, it's Ali from Ali & Shauna!" 
Like it's the Ali & Shauna show, and that's fitting, because they're both totally hilarious. The kind of hilarious that makes you a bit annoyed that you'll never be that funny, so naturally there's a ton of laughter when you're with them, and when you're photographing them. 

These two were meant for one another - so when they approached me to shoot their wedding, I was *thrilled*
They are in love, like so in love.

They accept each other completely. So often we see couples that try to change each other. These two just don't. Every moment with one another is appreciated.

I like to be super organized so that I give all the couples I work with a super personal, but consistent experience. I believe strongly in the power of systems, and having been an assistant regional manager for a fortune 500 company at one point in my life, I realized early on in the power of systems to create and execute a personal, but awesome experience for clients....

Lighthouse Park might be one of my favourite spots. It offers a diversity in landscape with different textures, different scenery, and different kinds of light. It's got a lot of possibilities for shooting and many quintessential west-coast-isms in one spot.
