Fall & Christmas Photoshoots | Making You Look Like A Snack | Vancouver Boudoir Photography

“I really don’t like pictures of myself, I’m always uncomfortable and trying to hide from the camera - unless I’m the one taking the photo - I was really surprised to see myself like that, to be honest I never really felt like I was “ good looking” enough or had the perfect body to do a boudoir shoot.   This was a big push for me, I’m so glad I did it because those photos are beautiful and I CAN take photos like that.” CC

The fall equinox is upon us and summer is officially over. I wanted to pop in, blog this recent session, boost your confidence, and help bring some inspiration to your day.

Now, if you haven’t heard this yet today, I want to tell you -

You are BEAUTIFUL, you are WORTHY, and most of all, you are LOVABLE.

All of us, every single one of us, could use this reminder - no matter how secure we are. And anyone or anything that has made you feel otherwise is not a reliable narrator. How do we know this? Because every living thing that enters the world is worthy and has a place on this planet. It is only our minds that deem anything “worthy” or “unworthy”. A baby isn’t born thinking that it is unworthy.

If you’re anything like me, you’re still dealing with the emotional fallout from the season change (I’m a summer girl, through and through), and now is the perfect time to book your boudoir photoshoot for a little pick-me-up. Get yourself on my calendar. You’re a tigress. You’re about to look like a snack. I mean do you really need an excuse? Maybe a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation, or celebrate a fresh new start this fall? A photoshoot can be the ultimate way to indulge and invest in your own self-worth.

And a gentle reminder, as every year I get a ton of emails early December from hopeful clients looking to create an epic Christmas gift for their significant other, that if you want to create the most blow-them-away Christmas gift possible, then we want to get you on the calendar for October, (or the absolute latest late November). We need at least 4 weeks to shoot your boudoir session, prepare your photos, put your album into production, and have your keepsake album shipped to you. The more time we have, the better. So, jump on that pony - its saddle is waiting.

“Thank you so much for an amazing session! From the incredible feeling of welcome when i first arrived, to being made to feel so special with hair/makeup, to your thoughtful attention to detail, and our open talk which is like a therapy session!....it was the most incredible experience. You are an extraordinary person, Pam. And I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, of your time, your coaching, your spirit, and your amazing snacks and drinks! “ AS

Does that scare and excite you? It should!

If you’re thinking about booking your very own session, click below to fill in your details and schedule a call with me, Pamela. I’m nice - promise.

Not ready for full-out boudoir? That’s okay - we can do “sultry portraits” instead. This type of photoshoot is structured exactly the same, just with different outfits and a different style of posing (more editorial). And side-note, I also shoot couples, boudoir maternity, and intimate mother + baby sessions. Intimacy is my jam - have you noticed?

A few FAQ for the curious -

No, you don’t need to get toned/lose weight/go keto, etc. to do a shoot. You’re more than good enough just as you are. The point of this is for you to see your own beauty NOW. Let’s be honest, if you wait, you’ll probably never do it. Time truly does march on, so just go for it.

Yes, you CAN look like that. No, the people in the photos aren’t models - they’re clients. My work is consistent - what you see on my instagram or in my gallery is what you can expect for your own boudoir shoot. My photoshoots last a while, 5-6 hours. Having photographed hundreds of clients and having done this for years now, I can tell you from experience, you need the time to get the banging photos.

You DO NOT need to know how to POSE. I’ll take care of that. This is something every client worries about. I’ll direct you, so no need to worry.

Yes! I have OUTFITS! Many. Ranging from xxs to 4xl. My luxury client closet is STACKED (Bluebella, Honey Birdette, Fleur Du Mal, Edge O’ Beyond…and more!). You can borrow, and I will help you style your looks and give you feedback on the pieces that you’ve brought from home. We use hygienic liners (like the ones in bathing suits for try ons, new ones for every client) and everything gets washed and UV sanitized.

Your photoshoot, the day with me and use of my luxury client closet, is 299+tax. That includes hair and makeup (and is a smokin’ deal!). You then purchase your photo collection during your in-person viewing and ordering appointment, held about two weeks after your photoshoot, where you view a culled selection of finished photos (about 90ish). That’s when you purchase the photo collection you’d like to end up with (and I will help you if you need feedback). Photo collections start at 1099+tax. Most clients go for a bigger collection than the entry point, but you can decide on that once you actually see your photos. So tl;dr Cost of entry is 299+tax, starting price for photo collections is 1099+tax.

Yes! Payment plans are available. For up to six months!

My professional photography studio is located in downtown Vancouver, BC. It is a private space (not shared) which I use to do my work and to shoot boudoir. No, I do not live there (I do get asked this on occasion).

“What really stood out to me was how much I loved the experience of the shoot itself.  I left feeling like an absolute queen and I can honestly say it was one of the most positive and empowering things I've done for myself.  There is something so rare and special about having someone capture parts of yourself you rarely get to show to the world.  I felt seen and validated in a way I had never felt before.” Stephanie Mohr

HOPE TO CO-CREATE WITH YOU SOON
