The craziness of the past few months has afforded me many pieces of wisdom which I don't think I could have learned any other way but the hard way. Everything in life goes in cycles and, I am feeling the need for some personal growth. All of the times in my life which I have gone through some kind of growth period have started with a decision on my part, that started in my mind, to no longer be at whim of something I felt I had no control over. A lot of circumstance in life I think we can attribute to environment and dna, but some things we can have an active role in by choosing. 

Step one has been to "wash it all away." Easier said than done, but I have made a conscious decision to put in my best effort to create a life I am proud of, and I am feeling good about the next few years to come. 

It's my birthday at the end of the month and with having made some new successful leaps forward, I have a quiet joy and "bring it on!" attitude for the next steps (and hard work) I can look forward to in my life. 

This wallpaper is available for download, free for personal use (not for any commercial use). While on our road trip to California last year we took many photos along the coast, this one in Big Sur. Being out there on those enormous cliffs makes you feel so teeny tiny, and reminds you that nature is the one in charge of this planet - you are just a visitor, and your only job to do here is to live your life because it won't be here for very long (unless of course you've watched Transcendent Man - post for another time maybe?)
